Hello Everybady!
I realised my blog posts actually track the dates I've gone overseas against my will since commissioning. Hmm. Another sian post then.
Tomorrow is Chorale/RV concert (Limelight 2010) at the Esplanade, with us J4s performing as alumni. Tomorrow also happens to be the day I need to be at Changi Airport Terminal 2 by 11.30pm for a flight at 2am on Tuesday morning, leaving for a place the world has forgotten for the 3rd time, where Murphy's Law reigns supreme. And where there's absolutely nothing to do for leisure. Nothing that's remotely enjoyable at least. SO, my programme for tomorrow will be something like this:
0730 - HLR
0900 - begin work
1200 - leave for lunch
1445 - be at the Esplanade
1600 - technical run-through
~1830 - sound check
1930 - hall lights go off
~2015 - alumni performance
~2115 - encore performance
~2130 - last goodbyes to friends and juniors
~2145 - leave for the airport

Well, at least its the last time. Although it will be the 4th and 5th time I'll be overcoming lovely Biang. Sometimes I wonder if anyone expects people in our position to be totally ok with this crappy job and not hate everything sucky that accompanies it. Sighs.
Geet's leaving this evening to continue with Year 2 of animal doctoring. Hopefully our end-of-year vacation will materialise. Bye Geet, sorry we couldn't meet up 1 more time before you fly :p >.<
Anyway, I think working with Melvin so much has made me more reflective than I was before. I guess its because he's so much like that himself and we've been quite self-critical together the past few months. Occasionally, I feel proud of what NS has moulded me into. Yet, a lot of times, I also hate it for how it has changed how my friends perceive me because of some of the things I do differently now and how I react in certain situations. And I don't want to be that messed up person anymore :(
Need to meet up with Weiren to have a long chat soon after coming back next month. Been wanting to do that for a long time since I felt like I was drifting, but somehow I've been distracted.
It suddenly occured to me that my mood reflects very strongly in the style of my blog post. Haha. Obviously I am not looking forward to tomorrow a great deal. BUT, being so extremely professional, I WILL hide my sian-ness and appear very excited at the airport tomorrow. :D <-- See? Too bad I won't be taking Bobo haha.
Will miss Gerald's birthday this year. Blessed 20th in advance dear friend (: we'll hang out again soon? If not, hmm, ok there won't be an "if not", I'll make it happen!
Won't be able to send Wayne off too as he chiongs for the finish in FAOCC. Take care in Thailand bro (: hopefully we'll finally be able to meet up once you're back.
Life is tough. Time to brave the elements once again.
