i realised i've never treasured my class this year as much as i should, always allowing the friendships in chorale take precedence, which is probably not fair coz my class really rocks and i've never had such a great class before. so here's a shout out to everyone in S03M!

haha i think i'm growing taller. can't see the top of my head in my bathroom mirror anymore XD i used to just reach the top of the mirror at the start of the year. yay =)

on a side note i've put aside my totally unobjectiveness and decided that shawn tok has a nice voice and will probably have a nice tenor voice when he matures. haha though i still think he shouldn't have won based on finals performance >.< yay benjamin :DDD

emotional

yawnz school is getting rather boring. if not for my new found best friends in class i think i'd be really tired of tutorials =D

choir prac was quite funny with mr toh being unusually entertain-ny and stuff. haha had lots of laughs. i wrote down funny stuff that people said during choir and wanted to post here but chris beat me to blogging about it so i'll just refer to his entry. zzz. my high high b flat seriously cannot make it -.- if it was a high high high f i can easily crack into it and sustain. LOL. but well not like i can control my supernormal whistle range XD

hee i felt happy after choir ended! considering i usually just feel tired and zi bei that my voice sucks and only sounds good during vocal lessons, today was quite yay. even though i somehow couldn't find my nice tone and placement today. sigh.

i really really really like having friends. apart from my really good friends who've mostly been with me since sec 1 in rv, i enjoy having nice and fun and caring classmates for the first time since primary school. classmates who don't throw classroom furniture at you or try to humiliate you every chance they get, i.e. making your entire secondary school life miserable and making you dread going to school everyday. thank God for good friends who've helped me through it all (:

childhood

yay i'm glad i went for cip today! had a nice "totally deepest darkest secret" chat with suet on the way to marymount XD ok no just talked about stuff and i psychoanalysed myself. haha.

anyway today was the last tennis lesson so we played matches, and i partnered zhong qiang (i think that's how its spelt) who's fried's classmate i think. haha we won tucky and jerome 2 games and won 1 lost 1 when we played against zhuang yi and sam. couldn't complete that match coz it started to rain. tennis is fun =)

i like tutoring small primary school kids (: even though it takes me a while and substantial thinking before i can answer a few of their questions. i feel happy and sort of relaxed listening to them talking about purely random things and drawing cartoon penguins for them and stuff. haha apart from helping them with their work i mean. i've been dubbed king kong by my new tutee (joel) who thinks i'm very tall and much bigger than him :D maybe that's coz he's p5 and about the same height as my other tutee who's a p3 girl. i've been feeling like i want a younger brother to look after lately. hmm..either a) there's something wrong with me, b) it's my older brotherly instinct kicking in, or c) err suet says its something about having an emotional attachment to blur helpless little kids. haha. oh well i enjoyed today ^.^

ah-ng-st

today was quite fun..which is quite sad considering it's just been a slightly better than normal. meaning that we had pw in comp lab and h3 chem finished about 1 block earlier. was somewhat distracted during chem tuition just now, and i was humming guardian angel in my head while figuring out ionic equilibria stuff. hmm...

remembered to ask for chinese songs which im totally into. at least i've been since saturday night. haha and gerald spammed ilke 20 songs. thanks a lot!! (: anyway thought i'll feel less stressed and more happy listening to nice hip chinese songs. but now i just feel really sad and dejected and hungry ._. sigh i love singing in choir, and i'm really happy that my voice is finally settling and i can find placement and stuff, but i realised i'm not going to be in the choir for very much longer. what then? it's like after a performance or just a random group of us singing for fun, and i feel great coz it's nice and all. then i go home and sit in front of my comp and try to sing pop songs while windows media player blares and i hate thinking that my non-choral voice sucks. even my speaking voice sucks. tsk. ok this is making less and less sense.

yucks results of campus superstar finale was so..ugh..wanted benjamin and keely to win. RAWR. haha spent the whole night talking to suet and complaining and chatting about random things and big headed people and the unfairness of democracy heh.

benjamin totally should have won if not for shawn being the youngest and "cute" in that annoying "nah i'm actually quite ugly and don't deserve to be here" manner -.- seriously his singing was quite pitchy and strange and he forgot his lyrics!! haha anyway benjamin looks like a thinner and better looking version of val's handsome XD the girls weren't bad..just really airy. haha and keely sounded nice. the various guest performances were very good non-examples of how you should sing properly and without hurting your voice in the long run =D nonsense la the voting. zzz...i be annoyed

a moment like this

its been 10 days since i last posted. hmm..doesn't feel that long ago though..time really passes quickly.

i've been having mood swings today =s started off feeling stressed this morning coz i realised there are a lot of things to do, and have to settle open house notice board by the coming week. then went to school early to tape up notice board and see how much space we have. joseph came soon after and helped me a bit, then kia liang came and joseph ate semi-half-boiled egg which looked questionable =) tennis after that with adrian kia joseph then chris and ivan and fried came. quite fun..just that i took about 1.5 hours to warm up and be able to return properly >.< rackets =){don't worry k, just take it in your stride and treat it as helping yourself to improve, not about anything else} was quite tired after that, vocally and physically, so went around finding people but kia and joseph left le so i sat down with adrian and fried and huilin in the canteen for a while then went off =s

stayed at home the whole afternoon like a good boy 8-) did pw, which is getting quite bothersome, then went to sleep coz i was dozing off at the comp. woke up an hour later with my head pounding and groggily continued doing pw with regular breaks to do random things. chatted about miscellaneous stuff with quan online which got quite funny, so i randomly bounded around the house and watched people walking their dogs in the park =)

settled down a while later and was looking through RV photos. i miss them so much and the camps and carolling sessions we had seem so distant, but i suck at expressing those feelings when we visit their practices or see them around. those times are so special and precious now that we look back. sigh =(

i want the old times to come back....

when the world gets in your face

yay i managed to tally the choir funds! haha its quite tedious trying to track everything and account for every bit of payment/claim etc. and need to calculate a lot and a lot! then have to transfer record to soft copy of records and collate receipts and stuff. heh ok but quite fun =p

i finally got down to scrubbing the mess tins we used to melt wax in for making farewell presents! the 2 mess tins are quite shiny now :D but super tiring..have to scrub really hard using steel wool and very hard to clean the corners. well at least thats not lying around collecting dust anymore.

after choir walked with geet and deb and gen to J8 to take bus home. haha and geet taught me how to say "how are you" in tamil XD --"ni yeperdi yirukirai"

i be tired..goodnight (:

felt really sad after watching slideshow of last year's prague/slovakia tour :( i miss those times so much. listening to the music accompanying the slideshow just made it worse. by the time it reached the part where we were at the vienna airport about to leave for home, i really wanted to hide in my room and not care about work and promos and pw. . if only we could relive those moments. or if time could slow down so there'd be more time for us to cherish the time we have left together.....

zoink

really busy week with SPA and tests and everything. sigh my piano exam letter came today, its on 24 september. the same day promos starts -.- don't know how its going to work out. just have to pray and leave it to God i guess. sighs too many things..too little time......

anyway i finally called our pw interviewee to arrange interview, haha felt so accomplished after we managed to settle it and get at least this 1 face to face interview. not like the cold email interviews we've been sending out. i feel slightly bad for skipping tutoring today to mug bio spa, but really have lots of things to do today. and seriously its no fun having to do work into the early hours of the morning and going to school in the morning groggy and feeling like some undead creature. i shall bring sweets to give my tutee next week to atone for my absence today. heh

i was looking through rv prague/slovakia tour photos last night. surprisingly i can remember a lot of what the tour guide said and what happened before/during/after certain photos were taken. brought back lots of good memories. haha. i really really miss the tour and the people and everything. and i regret not doing some stuff i should have done or not spending more time with certain people :(

of farewells

not really in the mood to do anything..anyway here's some stuff worth mentioning:

1. farewell last night went really well i thought..everything went more or less smoothly, though the casino part of the programme was daoed coz we ended late
2. i will miss chorale J2s very much when they leave >.<
3. we managed to save the J2's farewell presents like less than an hour before they were scheduled to arrive at chris' house..mostly thanks to val who had this brilliant idea to use uhu glue to seal the sides of the wax (:
4. the songs after dinner were totally unrehearsed for, but i thought warm up and lullaby were passable. lover was quite bad though..
5. the songs after video screening were not bad i guess..the J2s were rather quiet during soleram though many were singing along. sigh so sad never gonna sing together agian =s
6. i love chorale people lots..
7. thanks so much to gen for organising the programme for farewell, yong feng for the video and other stuff (although the really retarded and unglam video shot of me was very embarrassing -.-), chris for opening his house, suet for arranging food among other things, gerald for running around helping with random things and for the programme too, kia liang (and julian) for coming up with the script for the play for farewell even though we didn't do it and for various random things too, quan deb val charmaine clara chng min for settling presents so well and making everything so nice =)
8. lots of people got pushed into the pool in the afternoon, and kia liang's phone went into the water with him =.= btw i can struggle really violently when my dryness is at stake
9. thanks to weisong nikki sandra yikai chenyun for the punch presents and little mr/ms books and stuff..we must form like punch alumni next time :p
10. the many hours put into the planning and preparation for farewell paid off i guess, hope the J2s enjoyed it =D
11. i really really miss the J2s a lot :(

heh "pwing"

haha we're in com lab supposedly doing pw!! just that we just submitted first draft of written report so everyone is slacking and the whole row in front of me is playing neopets/miniclips XD lol siang huat is acting retarded as usual. yay after school i'm going with kia liang and weiren to j8 to buy presents for farewell and nice paper to write notes on (:

yay and tonight a few of us are staying over joash's house! like 10 people i think >.< a bit overcrowding but haha should be fun! coz we have national day celebrations and promethean ceremony til 9pm after which we'll go to joash's house straight. and tmr morning have to go to chris house at 9am to prepare for farewell and help cooking and decor and stuff. haha i brought a really nice outfit to wear for farewell that fits my role as bouncer XDDD like striped long-sleeve shirt (sleeves rolled up) with dark jeans and cool blue tie (loosely hanging around my collar) and val's birthday sunglasses. heh. ok bell just rung gtg for lecture =)

moment by moment

AHAHAHA i'm happy =) just read val's latest post which is really really really really really really really HILARIOUS! haha and i'm not talking about the grammar (which gen says cmi XD). go read it! its the one about scholarship day and her many discoveries throughout the whole of yesterday..one of which is me being a really nice person (why she took so long to realise..i can't figure). yay i'm really happy now!!! haha val's is super funny......HAHAHAHA random outburst of laughter.

anyway yesterday was a really long day but was fun!! had scholarship day..took all the stuff from the different organisations offering scholarships. then went for DSTA talk which was kinda boring. then went to make presents!! (hope no J2s read this before wednesday) :D lots of washing, drying, melting, scraping, smoothing, burning, cleaning. quite scary when our little make-shift heat source suddenly erupted in big big flames and refused to go out when we blew at it and like exploded when we splashed water, but it was a good experience :p by 8pm only left me quan kia liang and val finishing up the presents coz the rest had to leave. thankfully the spoilt living jukebox left around 7.45pm. heh. argh my index finger fingernail on my right hand started bleeding when i was scraping the wax off our nice presents and my thumb had a small hole which was leaking blood and i didn't even realise until my finger got a bit bloody =D

had lots of time to chat with people there and val of course had lots of stories to tell when we were transporting the presents to our lockers. hahahaha val is seriously funny..yay i like listening to val talk about random things and specific persons (: read her blog for her "sao di gong ren" experience and other superly funny things including her secret relationship with julian XDDDD haha..moving on. kia val and i walked to J8/bus stop opposite J8 after we finished everything which was like around 9.45pm and we had some intensive discussion about crushes and stuff (oh rather val was..kia and i were laughing most of the time) and i took the opportunity to give val (fake) blackmail material for use on julian. HAHAHA sorry julian =p that's about it for yesterday's events. ok back to pw 8-)
