hi (:

its been 2 weeks since i last blogged! yay and i cycled 20.4km today :p and i just watched mighty ducks 2 for the 3rd time! haha its nice and inspirational and vaguely touching and funny and nice. and i lost my nervous system notes :( i think its somewhere in class.....

1) concert was a blast! most musically exhilirating concert ever i think. wasn't perfect, but had quite a few moments of beautiful sounds and magical experiences. then everyone was very happy and high after concert and during intermission got to say hi to rv friends and juniors and hype ourselves up and hugs from hormonal uh boys and girls. or maybe the word im looking for is emo. largely happy concert. though it was quite sad too coz its our last performance ever as chorale and probably our last concert too. for us j2s i mean. so it was fun and nice to perform at the esplanade and fool around in the dressing rooms and sit and chat and warm up in enclosed space, but underneath it all i guess there was also dread that it would end :( but it was still a happy day and all.

oh and and i absolutely loved the whole day haha. from flag raising til 2nd period when my beloved classmates wished me well when i left before PE, to going to collect mr toh's flowers from far east flora with gerald (when we had quite an adventure finding bus stops and looking for bus numbers with the correct bus zooming by as we did so and walking long distances to macritchie bus stop in the end hahaha), to bathing and changing in the secret toilet with random chorale guys (bathing separately -.-), to seeing nikki (who was relief teaching bio!) outside GO when we were pracising positioning, to the sufficiently enjoyable bus ride, to discovering a new nickname for minsi when we alighted outside esplanade, to checking out our dressing rooms and getting ready, to the nicest hug i've ever received just before concert started :D, to the scary first half of the concert, to the changing of attire and listening to rv after our first half in the dressing rooms and with my first funky hair styling by joseph, to the significantly more exciting and rewarding 2nd half, to seeing jianhao mohandass and jarrod sitting in the front-most row and hearing them grunt "go bennett" or something like that, to the encore and surprise walking off stage singing song of triumph, to the debrief by mr toh and the teachers, to yifan/guanwei/yishu imitating geoffrey's bow after his encore conducting, to being the last section to clear out of the dressing room, to meeting classmates and dear friends and seniors at the concourse and the flowers and chocolates and smiles all around. and of course our supper-outing to marina square. even though we were all quite tired. we arrived there to find almost everything closed. so we camped at the steps leading up to marina square where we sat at after syf last year. and chatted. and took photos. and lazed around. revelling in the atmosphere and simply enjoying the company. sigh its all about to end :( the only thing that was regretable was not taking an informal whole choir photo. sighs. that's it for concert. don't really want to think about it too much and feel sad. i'm just gonna remember all the happy moments on stage and with wonderful friends. i love chorale so much <3 can't imagine how life will be like after tour when there won't be pracs and sectionals to look forward to :'( ok maybe not sectionals. hahaha =p oh no i don't want that time to come...

2) ok everything else i thought of blogging about during the week pales in importance and emotional significance after reminiscing about concert. yeah there really isn't anything else that's worth blogging about. just that its been a tiring week with bio spa and clearing backlog of work and starting revision for CT2. ugh life is tough.

3) yay tour in 11 days! and oh no tour in 11 days :( but we are all not going to think about the day we come back after tour because we are going to focus on singing our very best and being emotion-ful and expressive and make every moment during the trip special for each of us.

5) aaaaaaaand we're back! i'm off to mug cell signalling coz mohandass koped my nervous system notes so i'm not going to be able to revise what was taught in lecture today and i'm going to lose the potential 80% of info that could have been stored in my long term memory because of this. TSK.

6) hi puffy who is reading this despite being flu-ful and who is supposed to go sleep...i mean was supposed to have gone to sleep 15 minutes ago (:

7) 6 is an ugly number so i shall end off with 7! yay i love chorale people many many <3 and my favourite class of all time (:

random photos from VE XVIII!

this was from carolling last year. at esplanade. the last time we performed there since VE XVIII. quite a nice photo as puffy pointed out haha. the ferrero (i think its spelt like that) adds a nice touch of colour to the black background noh? :p

x

i cycled 20km this evening! yay. the weather is still very very hot. bleah. and cannot switch on air con the next few nights until after concert otherwise throat will be dry and dehydrated then cannot sing!

on a random note, i was filled with love for the world last night :p for about 4 minutes. then the feeling was gone.

school today was sort of different. before school started when i just reached parade square, weiren called me to ask if i knew isaac "broke" his leg. i was like O.O so apparently he was bouncing up some flight of stairs this morning then he fell or something then injured some part of his leg. then weiren said there was a teacher with him so uhh ok cannot do anything before flag raising was over anyway. then skip the details. then he ended up going to hospital and x-raying and finding out about torn ligament which should heal between 3-6 weeks. 3.5 weeks being the time until we leave on tour. and 4 days being the time until VE XVIII =.= isaac will WALK, not bounce, from now on, and STROLL, not gallop around. and isaac will not move any part of his body unnecessarily until his leg is fully healed (hopefully long before tour).

math tut was. ugh. should have discussed question with audrye before presenting. ugh

bio lecture was fine.

econs lecture was a blur as usual.

break was exciting. haha ate yong tau foo with gerald at the booth (which is a first) to keep amy and huiyi company. huiyi is slightly above yisheng on the 'gong'ness ladder. veeehry slightly above.

bio tut was in com lab! and we explored some gene therapy website and played space doctor! haha super funny. strange sounds being emitted from random people's speakers and sadistic dying noises when adenoviruses get digested.

gp was interesting. ok discussion on whether conflicts of the future will be over food is not all THAT but its interesting. i mean an interesting topic for gp discussion. especially since i read up a lot and prepared for it :) then mrs v. showed us some ppt slides of vaguely abstract illustrations comparing eastern and western cultures. something else that broke the monotony of normal gp lessons.

civics was fine. and mdm lee returned our chem lecture test papers since there wasn't much else to do besides review PTM. which was quite funny, coz on tuesday during chem tutorial, mdm lee told the class what tucky's mum said during PTM:

(this is just the gist of what was said)
Mrs Yee: "Teacher ah, why my son's progress report got a C ah...i never see a C before leh..."

HAHAHAHAHA. ok so tucky is going to convince his parents that he will not play computer games so much and not get a C ever again and to let him come for chorale concert =D

aaand the rest of the day has been boring. and since i intend to finish quite a lot of chem homework tonight and sleep by 11, i will go now. yay about 9 hours of prac again tmr! BYE BENNETT!
